Location: Sayville High SchoolSalary: $21.15 per hour + $1.00 per hour for hygieneDays: Monday – FridayHours: 9:15 AM - 2:45 PMStart Date: ASAP Sayville School District is looking for a caring, student-centered Aide to provide support to a student with special needs at Sayville High School. This is a vital role in ensuring the student’s progress and successful participation in their school experience. Duties will include:Personal Care Support: Provide respectful and discreet assistance, specifically with toileting, as needed throughout the school day.Mobility Assistance: Help the student safely navigate the school building, including transitions between classes and walking to and from various locations (i.e.: cafeteria, related service sessions).Classroom Assistance: Provide general support and assistance within the classroom as directed by the teacher. Communication: Maintain consistent communication with teachers and administration regarding the student’s progress and any concerns throughout the day. Qualifications:Ability to assist with toileting and mobility.A genuine desire to support students with special needs and a patient and caring attitude.The ability to work with a team and work under the direction of the administrators, teachers, and related service providers.Previous experience is not required.
