Position Title: ENL/ TESOL Substitute Teacher Elementary - (Term Part Time .4 )Effective: Through on or about May 13, 2025. Could possibly be extended. Contract Aligned to: Saugerties Teachers’ AssociationImmediately Responsible to: Appropriate Building Principal and Director of PPSMinimum Qualifications:Required: Must possess a valid NYS Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other LanguagesPhilosophical compatibility with the stated mission and goals of the School DistrictPreferred: Dual Certified (English Language Arts, Spanish, etc.)Second Language (preferably Spanish)Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable. Job Summary or Functions:Facilitating student success by collaborating with general education teachers to adapt lessons and grading. In addition, teachers will develop lessons to support student achievement in core classes with a particular focus on listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Individuals will also be responsible for yearly assessments and progress monitoring. A key component of this position is to establish a positive relationship with the families.
