Position: Teaching Assistant - Full TimeSchool: Riccardi Elementary SchoolEffective: June 1, 2024Salary: $35,604 - $35,942Hours: 8:30 - 4:00Requirements:Must hold a NYS Teaching Assistant Certification Level I, II, III or Continuous;Must have fingerprint clearance;Internal Candidates should email a letter of interest to akerr@saugerties.k12.ny.usBasic Function:Assist teachers in the process of providing instruction. Key Duties and Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:Provide instructional services to individual or small groups of students under the direction of appropriate teacher and/or administrative personnel.Assist the teacher in the development and preparation of instructional materials.Maintain appropriate records of students under the direction of appropriate teacher and/or administrative personnel.Assist teachers in related instructional work as required.Assist students in the use of available instructional resources.Utilize own special skills and abilities by assisting in instructional programs.Supervise students when they are outside classroom and maintain order.Perform miscellaneous clerical duties. Desired Qualifications:Education - New York State Teaching Certificate preferable.Minimum Requirement: Must qualify for teacher assistant license under the rules of the Commissioner of Education.Experience - Working with children in some instructional capacity.Special Working ConditionsTo Whom Directly Responsible - Principal and Teacher.
