Position: Teaching Assistant(s) for the Elementary Summer AcademySchool: Jr. / Sr. High SchoolEffective: July 8, 2024 - July 25, 2024Hours: 8:00 - 12:00Requirements:Must attend a one day orientation prior to the start of the program.Employment is contingent upon enrollment.Must be a certified NYS Teaching Assistant.Experience - Working with children in some instructional capacity.Description:Basic Function: Assist teachers in the process of providing instruction. Key Duties and Responsibilities Include, But Are Not limited to:Provide instructional services to individual or small groups of students under the direction of appropriate teacher and/or administrative personnel.Assist the teacher in the development and preparation of instructional materials. Maintain appropriate records of students under the direction of appropriate teacher and/or administrative personnel.Assist teachers in related instructional work as required.Assist students in the use of available instructional resources.Utilize own special skills and abilities by assisting in instructional programs.Supervise students when they are outside classroom and maintain order.Perform miscellaneous clerical duties.Length of Work Year - Hourly basis arranged to meet schedule of school.Special Working Conditions -To Whom Directly Responsible - Principal and Teacher.
