Position: Behavior Specialist Psychologist Effective Dates: 2025-2026 School Year Application Deadline: July 14, 2025 Compensation: Salary with Benefits as per SCTA Teacher Bargaining Agreement Minimum Requirements:Valid NYS School Psychologist certificationMust hold or be working towards BCBA certification.Experience working with students with behavioral challenges in an educational setting.Knowledge of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), and Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP)Strong understanding of IDEA, IEP development, and special education compliance.Ability to collect and analyze behavioral data and use it to drive decision-making.Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with teachers, families, administrators, and service providers.Ability to lead and facilitate team meetings, including those related to behavioral planning and IEP development.Experience in crisis prevention and intervention, including de-escalation strategies and the development of crisis response plans.Ability to provide staff training and coaching on behavior management strategies.Experience conducting parent training to support consistency across school and home environments.
