The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in curriculum and instruction, faculty development, and collaborative leadership.Qualifications and Experience:Successful experience as a middle school administrator is requiredStrong background in curriculum development, instructional leadership, and professional learningExpertise in:APPR and the teacher observation and evaluation processUsing teacher and student performance data to inform instructionMTSS, evidence-based interventions, and inclusive practicesSupporting CSE/504 processes and differentiated learning environmentsKey Leadership Responsibilities:Foster a positive, inclusive school culture and climate that reflects the values of the district and communityCreate a student-centered approach to teaching and learningBuild meaningful partnerships with families and the greater school communityLead a team-based middle school model that includes effective scheduling and interdisciplinary planningHire, supervise, and support a highly qualified staffDevelop and implement professional development aligned with district goals and teacher needsSupport innovative instructional practices, including research, writing, and interdisciplinary learningPromote continuous improvement through collaboration, reflection, and shared leadershipIdeal Candidate Will Also Have:Middle school teaching experienceA record of building strong, trusting relationships with staff, students, and familiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to lead change and support teacher growth through professional development and coachingA clear understanding of the developmental needs of middle school learnersIf you are a collaborative and compassionate leader who is ready to inspire excellence and empower others, we encourage you to apply.Certification Required: NYS School Building LeaderReports to: Superintendent of SchoolsTerms: 12 months, salary and benefits based on the Rye Administrators Association collective bargaining agreement.
