Applicants should possess a strong background in curriculum, instruction, and professionaldevelopment. Experience required in implementing and management of APPR, theobservation and evaluation process, and providing faculty and staff with actionable feedback.Experience necessary in RtI, evidence-based interventions, the CSE/504 process, chairingmeetings, and supporting inclusive learning environments that meet the needs of all learners.Applicants should have experience cultivating a school culture of progressive discipline as wellas fostering a positive social emotional learning environment. Candidates should have knowledge and experience in the following instructional andmanagement areas: Teachers College Reading and Writing Workshop. Experience in deliveringprofessional development through the coaching model preferred Understanding of the science of reading research and its impact on effectiveelementary literacy instruction Constructivist mathematics The use of formal and informal assessments, planning small group and wholeclass instruction and designing appropriate interventions for students The ability to analyze data for short- and long-term planning purposes The design and implementation of performance-based assessments SchedulingA deep understanding of adult learning theory and the change process is required.Applicants should have experience in supporting teachers as they make instructionalchange.Additional requirements include: teaching experience, proven ability to build positiverelationships with families and staff, background in designing and providing professionaldevelopment for teachers and administrators, and knowledge of effective elementaryinstruction.Certification: NYS School Building LeaderReports to: Principal, Osborn SchoolTerms: 12 months, salary and benefits based on the Rye AdministratorsAssociation collective bargaining agreement.
