POSITION: SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER QUALIFICATIONS/PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES : Must hold appropriate NYSED School Social Worker Certification Bilingual Spanish a plus Build positive and trusting relationships with parents by communicating with them about their child’s growth Communication and collaboration with administrators, teachers, related service providers and support staff Provide individual and group counseling and deliver targeted social-emotional support to students Conduct risk assessments and provide crisis intervention for students experiencing emotional/behavioral crisis. Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community agencies to connect families with appropriate resources and supports Ensure compliance with special education regulations, confidentiality, and ethical standards of practice Candidates must be highly organized, flexible, and a team player Participate in building level Instructional Support Team (IST) Meetings Be a champion for all Roosevelt students to prepare for a successful future Related Duties as assigned by the Director of PPS, Building Principal and Assistant Principal SALARY: Commensurate with Experience and the Roosevelt Teachers Association (RTA) Contract apply for this POSITION by completing a cover letter, resume and application The Roosevelt UFSD is an equal opportunity employer.
