POSITION: ARMY JUNIOR ROTC INSTRUCTOR /Non-tenure Appointment Location: Roosevelt High School QUALIFICATIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor Degree if you are the SAI / Associate Degree if you are an AIMust attend JROTC School of Cadet CommandBe of good moral character, have the mental ability, positive attitude, physical appearance required for favorable representation of the program and the Army in the school and civilian communityHave general knowledge of course subject matter and demonstrated instructional abilityDemonstrated ability to lead, motivate and influence young men and women to learn and develop leadership, self-reliance and disciplineBe a citizen of the United States without ties to act in favor of a foreign country or personHave military and civil records that reflects a high degree of efficiency, effectiveness and conductHave no personal habits or character traits that are questionable from a security, stability or social standpointHave no record of conviction by court martial, no record of time lost-to-be-made-good under Title 10, USC, Section 972 and no record of civil convictions except for minor traffic offenses (Exceptions may be granted by the CG, USACC, using AR 601–210 as a guide)Have been discharged under honorable conditions from all previous enlistments and prior serviceSAI and/or DAI is the chief instructor of the Junior ROTC unit. He/she performs the functions of a DAI in a single unit, and responsible for:Overall management of the Junior ROTC Program at the schoolManage and conduct the Junior ROTC program according to school rules and regulationsMaintain good relations with the school authorities, faculty, student body and communityConduct a public affairs programs in the local area designed to further the understanding of the Junior ROTC program, the school, and the ArmyEnroll students in the JROTC program and support school officials conducting this programProgram procedures will cover the appointment, promotion, and demotion of cadet officers and noncommissioned officers, and must be approved by the senior school official or school system according to this regulationPosition may require additional hours and responsibilities outside of the contractual day SALARY: Pursuant to RTA Collective Bargaining Agreement and District Policy apply for this POSITION by completing a job specific cover letter,resume and applicationThe Roosevelt UFSD is an equal opportunity employer.
