PPS Position Available SEPTEMBER 2023 BEHAVIORAL THERAPISTRequired Certifications: Candidate must be a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) with a certification in applied behavior analysis (ABA). Experience working with students with autism, developmental delays, and attentional concerns. Responsibilities of the BCBA: Work collaboratively with the team to address the needs of students with behavioral concerns. Meeting with staff to observe and assess student behavior. Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) Develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) Meeting with families, teachers, clinicians, or administrators to discuss the recommended ways to address behavioral issues. Developing individual plans to correct, maintain or improve certain behaviors. Helping students to set and meet behavior goals. Attend CSE Meetings Keeping detailed records of meetings and progress Develop goals for the IEP. Using methods to correct or reduce aggressive, harmful and anti-social behaviors and to encourage positive behaviors.
