Attendance TEACHERREQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Must hold NYSED School Attendance CertificationBilingual Spanish PreferredTeacher tenure trackEnsures compliance with reporting data, attendance, and truancy procedures and regulationsCreates a culture of high achievement, attendance, and graduation rates through positive interactions with students and their familiesWorks with school counselors and other staff to identify prior or emerging trends of chronic absencesCollaborates with staff to create an engaging, positive, and motivational learning environmentBuilds positive and long-lasting relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to promote alignment in strategic approaches to improving student achievement and attendanceCollaborates with District staff to participate in scheduled home visits and parent conferences to improve student achievement, analyze truancy data, and attendance issuesCollectively compiles and analyzes student attendance and assessment data to outline data trends and patternsAnalyzes data trends and ensure accurate reportingMaintains strict confidentiality by following the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) for student information and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).Exhibits professionalism through speech, action, and demeanorBe a champion for all Roosevelt students, their families, and District staff to prepare for a successful academic and professional futurePerforms other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Central Office Data, Assessment, Attendance, and Registration (CODAAR)Monitor student attendance and follow-up with Principals, District Administrators, Staff and ParentsSALARY: Salary commensurate with experience - Pursuant to RTA Collective Bargaining Agreement apply for this POSITION by completing a cover letter, resume and application The Roosevelt UFSD is an equal opportunity employer.
