Typical Duties include:Performs professional physical therapy treatments for patients. .Makes diagnostic and evaluation tests of patients in homes and clinics. .Provides training in activities of daily living with or without the use of prosthetics or other equipment. .Instructs and supervises Physical Therapy Assistants and therapists on limited permit regarding various patient interactions. .Interprets reaction of patients and adjusts the length and intensity of the treatment. .Maintains an accurate record of each patient's progress. .Demonstrates techniques and teaches objectives of physical therapy to other health personnel. .Instructs persons in home care of handicapped patients..Maintains equipment in proper working order and requests repairs when needed..Cooperates with other departments, schools, and community agencies.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSTraining and Experience:Continuing possession of a license as a Physical Therapist issued by the New York State Department of Education. Salary: RTA Contractual Rate
