Assistant Principal for Central Office of Data, attendance, assessment, and registration (codaar) MAJOR REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Must hold: NYSED Administrative CertificationNYSED School Attendance Certification PreferredBilingual Spanish is Highly PreferredAssistant Principal Tenure TrackEnsures compliance with reporting data, attendance, and truancy procedures and regulationsCreates a culture of high achievement, attendance, and graduation rates through positive interactions with students and their familiesWorks with school counselors and other staff to identify prior or emerging trends of chronic absencesCollaborates with staff to create an engaging, positive, and motivational learning environmentBuilds positive and long-lasting relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to promote alignment in strategic approaches to improving student achievement and attendanceConducts parent conferences on student achievement, truancy, and attendance problems.Collaborates with District staff, parents, and students to increase student attendance and assess the academic successCollectively compiles and analyzes student attendance and assessment data to outline data trends and patternsAnalyzes data trends and ensure accurate reportingMaintains strict confidentiality by following the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) for student information and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).Exhibits professionalism through speech, action, and demeanorBe a champion for all Roosevelt students, their families, and District staff to prepare for a successful academic and professional futurePerforms other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools and, or Assistant Superintendent of Central Office Data, Assessment, Attendance, and Registration (CODAAR) The Assistant Principal for Central Office of Data, Attendance, Assessment, and Registration (CODAAR) will report to the Assistant Superintendent for Central Office Data, Attendance, Assessment, and Registration (CODAAR) and collaborate with the Department Team to create a seamless operation focused on student's academic success.
