Teacher TutorsThe Rome City School District is seeking qualified Teachers in the certification areas of Math, Science, English, and Social Studies to support our students in grades 9-12 at Rome Free Academy’s Instructional Support Center.These part-time positions are Monday through Friday from 9:30am - 12:30pm and focus on providing targeted academic support through one-on-one and small group instruction, helping students strengthen their understanding of course content and improve overall academic performance.Key Responsibilities:Supporting students in their assigned subject area (Math, Science, English, or Social Studies).Reinforcing classroom instruction and assisting with assignments.Collaborating with teachers and staff to identify student needs.Creating a supportive and engaging learning environment.Qualifications:Must hold a valid New York State Teaching Certification in the appropriate subject area.Strong content knowledge in one of the listed subject areas.Strong classroom management and communication skills.Passion for fostering student growth and advocating for individualized success.Ability to collaborate with a team and engage with families.How to Apply: Please submit your resume, cover letter outlining your experience and teaching philosophy, 3 letters of recommendations, transcripts, and a copy of your New York State certification or copy of your TEACH certification page.
