The Rome City School District is seeking four Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI) Instructional Coaches, with one position available at each of the following schools: Strough Middle School, Denti Elementary School, Stokes Elementary School, and John Joy Elementary School. These full-time positions are part of a statewide initiative focused on improving instructional quality through aligned, system-level support. Selected coaches will work collaboratively with building and district leadership, teachers, and NYSED to implement high-quality instructional practices. Required commitments include participation in NYSED-sponsored events throughout the year, including an in-person kickoff in Albany on September 17–18, as well as additional check-ins and convenings each semester. Qualified candidates must have prior experience in an instructional coaching role, a record of proven success in teaching, and exceptional skills in student engagement and instructional delivery. A valid NYS teaching certification is required, along with a strong commitment to mentoring and supporting student growth and development.
