Business TeacherThe Rome City School District is seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated Business educator to inspire and prepare young learners in an engaging learning environment. This position is for a Business Teacher to teach middle school students in grades 7-8, focusing on foundational business concepts such as entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, and economics.District ProfileThe Rome City School District is proud to serve over 5,200 students across nine schools, supporting a diverse mix of city, rural, and suburban communities. We are dedicated to creating a collaborative and nurturing environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that introduce business concepts including entrepreneurship, marketing, personal finance, and economics.Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, inspired, and encouraged to think critically.Integrate real-world business scenarios, case studies, and interactive activities into the curriculum to make learning practical and relevant.Support students’ social and emotional growth by encouraging teamwork, leadership, and entrepreneurial thinking.Organize and showcase student projects through business simulations, exhibitions, or school events.Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and achievements.Maintain accurate records of student progress, participation, and performance.Qualifications:Must hold valid New York State Teaching Certification in Business Education or a related field.Strong classroom management and communication skills.Passion for inspiring students to explore and develop business knowledge and entrepreneurial skills.Ability to collaborate with a team and engage with families.Why Join Us?A supportive and collaborative teaching environment.Opportunities for professional development and growth.Access to well-equipped classrooms and technology resources.Competitive salary and benefits package.Salary starting at $52,389.00.
