The Rome City School District is actively recruiting for individuals to serve as per diem substitute Teacher Assistants. Teacher Assistant Level 1 Certification or higher required.Interviews will be conducted on an on-going basis. A Certified Teacher's Assistant will support the work of classroom teachers. In addition to instruction in the absence of the classroom teacher, certified teacher's assistant may assist with the planning and execution of special activities. They may also assist in preparing and executing classroom activities and supervise student activities on playground, and hallways, and other locations as requested.Qualifications:- Classroom management skills- Experience working with children in a classroom setting- Strong communication skills- Special education knowledge or experience- Ability to plan and execute lessons effectively in the absence of the teacher- Understanding of early childhood education and childhood developmentApply on OLAS
