The North Rockland (Haverstraw-Stony Point) Central School District is seeking candidates for a probationary Special Education Teacher position at the high school level for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time position which includes a regionally competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Valid NYS certification in Special Education, Students with Disabilities (All Grades) or Students with Disabilities (Grades 7-12) is required. Candidates with prior experience teaching alternately assessed students with significant learning needs preferred. Job Duties include the following: Provide on the job support, training, and intervention to students at community work sites and internship locations Develop and maintain community-based vocational instruction sites and partnerships with local employers Evaluate and teach vocational skills, work habits, stamina, and behaviors to match students with appropriate vocational training or job Teach functional life skills in the community, including using public transportation, shopping, safety, and money management
