The North Rockland (Haverstraw-Stony Point) Central School District is seeking candidates for the position of Data Manager (Schools). This is a full-time 12-month provisional position which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The minimum starting salary is $54,240. All candidate must meet the Rockland County Civil Service minimum requirements. Job Responsibilities include:-Queries the database to create reports required by teachers, administrators and SED for funding; -Coordinates reporting among individual schools and the District;-Runs reports to uncover discrepancies in data input;-Creates network folders for schools;-Trains staff on how to access and effectively utilize data within the student management system; -Standardizes the format of forms;-Works with utility programs to set security;-Provides input on database programs to be used;-Sends electronic information to the State Education Department. Required Skills: Knowledge of database and office software; ability to plan and coordinate work projects; ability to work independently within the scope of general direction; ability to formulate, understand and carry out oral and written instructions; ability to present ideas clearly. Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science. Management Information Systems or a related filed and one (1) year of paid work experience training users on software, creating databases, and creating computerized reports by coordinating, managing, analyzing and manipulating data to generate a variety of reports; or A Bachelor’s degree or higher ion Business or a related field and three (3) years of paid work experience training users on software, creating databases, and creating computerized reports by coordinating, managing, analyzing and manipulating data to generate a variety of reports.
