POSITION: Maintainer (HVAC specific) LOCATION: District Wide (Facilities Maintenance Shop) COMPENSATION: Per RCBDMA contract QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of all phases of a school facility HVAC system and circuitry/functional components including new installation, diagnostic and repair of such systems and BMS controls; proficient with a laptop.Knowledge of steam, hydronic, radiant boiler systems and the ability to repair/service the same.RTU familiarity, serviceability and diagnostics up to 40 ton units; not limited to multi-zone splits/cassettes.Must possess current EPA Section 608 certification. Additional certifications can be provided.Possess basic skills in electrical, plumbing, light carpentry, painting, landscaping, snow plowing (trainable), and use of various power and hand tools.Must be able to climb ladders, work while standing and work outdoors for long periods, including during snow storms.Must possess and maintain valid New York State driver’s licenseMust meet Nassau County civil service requirements for hiringMust be fingerprinted and pass required background checkWORK SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm EFFECTIVE DATE: January 24, 2025
