POSITION: Adult Education Teacher for Roslyn, Herricks & East Williston Adult Continuing Education DESCRIPTION:The Roslyn Adult Education Department is seeking part-time educators to teach various late afternoon and evening classes at Roslyn School District and/or Herricks School District. Educators will fulfill all teaching responsibilities for the assigned course in an inclusive working and learning environment. Seeking teachers in the following subjects: language, music, art (acrylic, oil, drawing, mosaic, etc), crochet, needlework, glee, quilting, mah-jongg, ballroom dancing, kickboxing, tai chi, walking club leader, hula hooping, pilates, photography, google, etc. Proposals for additional teaching topics will be accepted.LOCATION: Roslyn School District and/or Herricks School District HOURS: Monday-Thursday/late afternoons and evenings REQUIREMENTS: Prior experience as a teacher and/or adult educator preferred RESPONSIBILITIES: Actively engage students in the delivery of high-quality adult education instructionManage communication with enrolled students and keep attendance records SALARY: Hourly rate commensurate with experience EFFECTIVE DATE: Classes will begin March 2023 TO APPLY: Send an email of interest to cyounker@roslynschools.org DEADLINE: Friday, December 2, 2022
