Rockland BOCES has an immediate vacancy in our Adult Education program. POSITION: Director of Adult Education (1.0 FTE) QUALIFICATIONS: NYS SAS or SBL certification. Administrative experience working within Adult Education and Workforce Preparation/Training. Such alternatives to the above which the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.RESPONSIBILITIES:The primary responsibility of the Director of Adult Education is to provide leadership and supervision to the various components of Adult Education which include: Workforce Training, Community Education, ESL, GED, the Rockland Works Career Center, and grant-funded projects Supervise and evaluate all Adult Education administrators, support, and clerical staffSupervise the Workforce Training & Community Education staff and oversee the management of all related program development, data, and state reportingOversee the hiring of all staff related to Adult Education programsOversee the management of all programming- Workforce Training, Community Education, ESL, GED, Rockland Works, and all grant-funded projectsManage the programmatic and fiscal reporting for all state and federal projects including but not limited to EPE, WIOA Title 1 and 2, DOL, and CTEDS.Implement and modify curriculum for the Workforce Training and Community Education Program and any additional grant programs.Create and modify the master schedule and promotional materials for Workforce Training and Community Education based on need, enrollment, and student assessment.Facilitate collaboration with the Rockland Workforce Development Board and the Rockland County stakeholders to address the workforce and economic development needs of the countyDevelop and customize the facilitation of career pathways for adult education studentsMaintain the integrity of all adult education programmingMaintain visibility, attendance, and community/county events and stakeholder meetingsFacilitate collaboration with BOCES secondary education programs, and component high schools to improve the transition of both out and in-school youth into career pathwaysCollaborate with the Director of Communications to develop innovative, yet cost-effective strategies to enhance marketingCollaborate with state and county-wide agencies regarding adult education and workforce development initiativesBilingual and/or Minority candidates are encouraged to apply.
