Rockland BOCES has a vacancy for a Director of Business.CERTIFICATION/QUALIFICATIONS:New York State Certification as a District Administrator – SDL/SDBL preferredCPA preferredMaster’s degree in related fieldSchool district, BOCES or relevant private sector business experience PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepares and/or supervises the preparation of financial and other reportsCoordinates fiscal and statistical matters with other agencies and timely submission of accurate reports to New York State Education Department, etcAssist in a comprehensive financial planning process encompassing the operating budget and management of grants in order to develop a structurally balanced prudent annual budgetAssist in preparing the BOCES proposed annual budget for the component districts and Board of Education’s review and voteManage all aspects of the business office inclusive of grants, vendor services and payments, procurement, and payrollUnder the direction of the Assistant Superintendent for Business, supervise the various departments within the Business Office and collaborate with other BOCES departments to assist in the operations of business functionsShould demonstrate strong interpersonal skillsDemonstration of strong written communication skills, effective time management and organization is essentialSALARY: CompetitiveWORK YEAR: 12-month work yearBilingual and/or Minority Candidates are encouraged to apply.
