Rockland BOCES Adult Education is seeking a qualified and experienced Bookkeeping Instructor to develop and deliver an engaging, hands-on course for adult learners. The primary goal of this position is to equip students with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills necessary for an entry-level position in bookkeeping.PROGRAM: Adult EducationPOSITION: Adult Education Career Training Instructor -Bookkeeping-- Part-Time EveningCERTIFICATION/QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a business / corporate environment as a bookkeeper or accountant. Previous experience teaching or delivering training to adult learners preferred. Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Bookkeeper CPB or CPA are desirable. Ability to teach weekday evening classes. Adult Education certification is required prior to hire date.
