Rockland BOCES has an immediate opening in our Student Services Program.POSITION: Assistant Principal, Secondary LevelCERTIFICATION: NYS Administrative Certification (SAS, SBL or SDA) required.Qualifications:Expertise working with students with special needs.Ability to engage and work collaboratively with staff, parents, community members and other stakeholders.Capacity to promote a safe and supportive school environment that fosters the social and academic development of students.Experience working with school teams to improve educational outcomes for students through analysis of school-wide data.A passion for special education and a dedication to improving outcomes for students with special needs.Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.Knowledge of best practices in behavior management and social-emotional learning.Ability to provide leadership and coordinate program development, refinement, and implementation to support effectiveness and increase alternate programming options on the secondary level.Bilingual and/or minority candidates are encourage to apply.
