Rockland BOCES has an immediate opening in our Adult Education program. POSITION: Adult Ed Instructor- Intake Specialist-Rockland Works Career Center Grant Funded Program Responsibilities:Conducts intake and assessments for potential participants to determine eligibility and suitability for vocational, educational, and employment programs offered through the Rockland Works Career Center and partnersFacilitates orientations and educational workshops for participants on workplace skills such as resume writing, leadership and professional development; assists with resume development and job searchesMaintains participant program records, both hard files and electronic OSOS records; completes reports and compiles statistics, as requiredInterfaces with agencies such as DSS, ACCES-VR, and BRIDGES to streamline the referral processDevelops and maintains good communication with other programs and BOCES divisions to facilitated intra-agency referrals and collaborationOther duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field such as School Counseling, School Psychology, Education, or Social Work required. NYSED certification in the areas listed or Adult Education certification required. Experience in the Workforce Development is a plusWORK YEAR: 12 month- grant funded position Apply on OLAS
