School Social WorkerThe Rhinebeck Central School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join the dynamic and innovative Bulkeley Middle School team. Bulkeley Middle School serves 242 students in grades 6th through 8th and offers a variety of enriching academic and social/emotional programming within and outside the classroom. This individual will offer their expertise, and creative problem solving, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with others to meet the needs of our students. Ideally, this individual will come with the experience to design and lead instructional opportunities, develop programming, and partner with parents and community-based clinicians. In this role, this individual will:Responsibilities:Provide mandated and non-mandated counseling, develop, and work toward counseling goals, and provide case management services.Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement strategies to support students' academic and personal success.Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' social-emotional needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.Provide short term group counseling for students focusing on self-esteem, grief, social skills, coping skills, divorce/separation, and anger management.Serve as a liaison on student progress to outside agencies and community resources.Collaborate with outside mental health professionals to coordinate care for students and families in treatment.Provide crisis intervention and support.Serve as a resource for teachers and staff, providing guidance and training on social-emotional learning and behavior management strategies.Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure appropriate services for students with special needs.Maintain accurate and confidential student records, progress notes, and documentation of services provided.Serve as the building level McKinney - Vento Liaison.Qualifications:- Master's degree in social work.- Commitment to supporting all community members and striving for inclusivity in all programming.- Current licensure as a social worker in the state of New York (LCSW), NYSED School Social Worker certification.- Experience working as a social worker in an educational setting, preferably within a K-12 school district.- Demonstrated knowledge of child and adolescent development, mental health issues, and social-emotional learning strategies.- Ability to work as part of a team as well as take the initiative on individual projects.- Maintain concise and confidential records.Salary: As per RTA ContractTo apply, submit a letter of interest, resume, three current professional references, supporting documentation including all relevant certifications and licenses, through OLAS, or mail to:Emily Davison, Rhinebeck CSD Director of Pupil Personnel ServicesP.O.
