The Red Hook Central School District is seeking knowledgeable and dedicated applicants for a Special Education Teacher for the high school clinical support class. NYS Special Education 7-12 certification required; Secondary content certification required – math or science preferred; will consider social studies or English. The start date will be September 1, 2024.Applicants must have experience working with students with mental health struggles – anxiety, depression, school avoidance, minor disruptive behaviors. Selected candidate will support a maximum of 10 students’ academic needs both as a direct instructor [dependent on secondary certification], academic support, and case manager. Students will be both general education and special education. Selected candidate will be working with a variety of staff to support the students including a full-time clinician who will support their mental health needs.
