The Red Hook Central School District is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Physics Teacher to teach High School Regents, Honors level Physics, and IB SL Physics including labs. This is a full-time tenure track position with a start date of September 1, 2022.The Physics Teacher plans, designs, implements, and assesses an appropriate instructional program in a high school environment that guides and encourages a diverse group of students at all levels to develop and fulfill their academic potential. Designs learning experience, monitors student progress, presents the information to parents, develops assessments, and creates and reinforces classroom expectations.Responsible for working with parents, school administrators, and other teachers to further the educations of all students. Additional duties may be requested or required.Background: Bachelor’s degree in Physics education or related program. Teaching experience preferred.Certification required: New York State Physics; IB Physics certification or willingness to obtain.
