GENERAL FUNCTION: Serve students with multiple disabilities in all areas related to school health practices and procedures as defined by NYS Education Law and Regulations of the Commissioner of Education. Nurse will transport with student to and from home and school on the bus. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a School of Nursing approved by the State Education Department, from a program approved by such department as qualifying for Licensed Practical Nurse.Possession of a license issued by the State of New York to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse for the year at the time of appointment.Three years experience working with students with multiple disabilities preferred.Such alternative to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find acceptable.
