The Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Teaching Assistant to join our team at RCS Middle School. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to support student learning, engagement, and success. We are looking for an individual who is patient, dependable, flexible, and committed to creating a positive and supportive learning environment for all students. Key Responsibilities Provide instructional and academic support to students under the direction of classroom teachers. Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce skills and concepts. Assist with the implementation of instructional strategies, accommodations, and student support plans. Support students with organization, engagement, and successful participation in classroom activities. Assist teachers in maintaining a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment. Help students develop independence, positive behavior, and appropriate social skills. Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and other support staff. Maintain student confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times. Perform other student-support responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Must possess or be eligible to obtain the appropriate New York State Teaching Assistant certification. Experience working with middle school-aged students is preferred.
