Ravena Coeymans Selkirk is seeking a dynamic educator to fill a grant funded ELA and general education intervention teacher. Certification in elementary education, English Language Arts, or reading are preferred for this position. Candidate will be expected to: Work collaboratively with classroom teaching staff to support student achievement and success Collaborate with classroom teachers to assess, plan instruction, and deliver instruction to support student success. Maintain student data to be shared with instructional staff, families, and administration Prepare differentiated lesson plans/ materials to ensure that all students can be successful Adapt instructional methods and materials to meet students’ varying needs, diverse backgrounds, and interests. Demonstrate knowledge of diagnostic assessments and how to use the data gained from these assessments to diagnose student needs, prescribe interventions, and target instruction. Embrace thinking that supports student centered learning and engagement Communicate with families on a regular and on-going basis.
