The Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District has an immediate opening for a long-term substitute Technology Teacher to end on April 6, 2023. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited University or College and hold a valid NYS Technology Education Teacher Certification.Additional Requirements:Experience utilizing CAD Design software.Extensive experience in the proper use of commercial woodworking and metalworking equipmentProficient in all aspects of Shop Safety including the development and facilitation of shop safety lessons/trainingsExperience leading project based instruction with the focus on the students, developing their problem solving skills and craftsmanshipThe ability to recognize the improvements in technology and can adapt old shop techniques with future STEAM based principlesHave strong written and oral communication skillsCandidates should be able to clearly demonstrate instruction both in the classroom learning environment as well as the practical shop environment. Candidates should possess a significant attention to detail, be self-motivated and enthusiastic with an aptitude for collaboration with colleagues, as well as the ability to inspire and engage studentsNYS Certification- Technology (preferred)
