RCS is looking for a dynamic Elementary teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning, creative and engaging in the classroom, and dedicated to helping all students succeed. Candidates should be innovative in practice, have a strong value in school community,and have vision in preparing our students to be civic-minded. Successful candidates should beable to teach courses in ELA, math, science and social studies, utilizing the district as well asNYS curriculum Frameworks. Administer reading & math assessments according to districtguidelines and other classroom responsibilities as per district expectations. Establish andmaintain standards of student behavior needed to provide an orderly, and productiveenvironment during class sessions. Provide both academic and behavioral support using amulti-tiered approach (ie. MTSS, PBIS). Communicate with families, other school staff, schooladministration, and students on student progress. Create pathways for students to be careerand community aware; promoting a strong sense of civic responsibility. QUALIFICATIONS: NYS Certification – Elementary NYS certification; dual certification in literacy and/or Special Education(preferred).September 1, 2022- June 30, 2023 (ARP)
