The Quogue Union Free School District seeks a dependable, experienced, hands-on Head Custodian to join our team. This is a hands-on position for someone who is comfortable supervising a small staff while actively participating in the day-to-day cleaning, maintenance, and operation of the school building and grounds. Responsibilities Supervise custodial staff and coordinate daily operations Perform and oversee building maintenance and repairs Maintain school facilities, equipment, and grounds Oversee custodial cleaning and building systems Participate in and oversee snow removal and seasonal work Manage supplies, equipment, and required records Effectively multitask, prioritize, and plan work Work independently and respond to day-to-day facility needs. Other duties as assigned Required New York State Driver’s License Must be reachable on the Civil Service Eligibility List Others may be considered Desired Characteristics We are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming school environment and enjoys being part of a small school community. Our School Quogue School is a small, one-building school district located just east of Westhampton Beach and before the East End traffic.
