The program provides students with both the academic content and the work-based learning experiences to be proficient in both basic cooking and baking knowledge and skills.Candidates must possess or be willing to pursue a NYS teaching certification through the Transitional Certification process in Culinary Careers. Applicable work experience will qualify an applicant to pursue NYS certification through the non-traditional Transitional A teacher pathway (advanced degrees are not required).
