Starting 12/1/22 - Questar III BOCES announces a vacancy for a regular substitute Special Education Principal to cover a long-term leave of absence at our Sackett Education Center in East Greenbush, NY. Responsibilities will include supervising the Sackett Education Center building and other related services staff. Questar III provides a comprehensive array of services for students in Rensselaer, Columbia, and Greene County schools. Students are placed in programs according to their individual academic capabilities and social/behavioral needs. Each program provides students with individualized instruction in a curriculum adapted to meet the state learning standards. Learning is enriched by interactive community-based experiences and through the support of specialists in social work, speech, occupational and physical therapy. Questar III also offers extensive support services to component districts through itinerant services, consultation services and staff development opportunities. The position requires NYS administrative certification (SBL). Preferred candidates should have demonstrated administrative experience, as well as experience in working with special education programs.Questar III prefers an online application.
