Starting 9/1/22 - Questar III BOCES announces a vacancy for a full-time probationary Elementary Special Education Teacher position located at Paul Puccio School at Maple Hill in Schodack, NY. This is a NYS Alternative Assessment (NYSAA) 6:1:2 (six students, one teacher, two teaching assistants) classroom. NYSAA classes are in academy settings, which provide social work and psychologist support as well as crisis support. Students also participate in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), a school-wide behavior management system, as well as behavioral Response to Intervention (RTI).Proper NYS Students with Disabilities 1-6 certification required. Certified SWD B-2 Teachers are encouraged to apply. Applicants who recently graduated pursuing NYS Teacher certification are also encouraged to apply.
