Director of Physical Education, Athletics, and Health ServicesJuly 1, 2024The Putnam Valley Central School District has an anticipated vacancy for a Director of Physical Education, Athletics, and Health Services beginning July 1, 2024.The Director of Physical Education, Athletics, and Health Services is responsible for the oversight and coordination of all aspects and supervision of PVCSD athletic programs and events. These responsibilities include developing and managing the department's budget, hiring coaches, managing scheduling, promoting athletic activities and events, and tracking team progress. Provide oversight to the Physical Education and Health programs, and school district nurse supervision. Incumbent should possess strong leadership and management skills, as well as, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.A successful candidate must be able to develop and lead the District’s Health and Physical Education programs; provide leadership in the selection, assignment and evaluation of Health and Physical Education personnel; work collaboratively to coordinate Health and Physical Education curricula alongside the Director of Curriculum & Instruction. Be prepared to conduct classroom observations within and outside of the physical education and health departments. Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.
