Campus MonitorAnticipated PositionPart Time - 5 hours dailyThe Putnam Valley Central School District has an anticipated vacancy for one school monitor at our elementary school. The position follows the school calendar – September through June. Work is completed Monday through Friday, and the anticipated daily five-hour shift is: 10:45 AM - 3:45 PM.The responsibilities are escorting kindergarten through 4th grade students to/from buses, classrooms, restrooms and the cafeteria or classroom lunch; assisting children on/off the school buses; providing coverage for instructional personnel; monitoring, connecting, and engaging with students during lunch and outdoor recreation periods; may relieve front-office clerical staff; and may perform other duties as assigned by the building principal. A high school diploma and experience working with children is desirable.The CSEA (Civil Service Employees Association) collective bargaining negotiated hourly salary range is $17.19 - $31.23, with annual salary step increases.
