SENIOR OFFICE ASSISTANT(Civil Service Competitive Class Position*)The Putnam Valley Central School District has an anticipated vacancy for a senior office assistant. The primary role of the senior office assistant is to provide support to the Putnam Valley Central School District Business Office (Assistant Superintendent of Business, Treasurer, Accounts Payable Clerk, and Payroll/Benefits Clerk) as follows: generate/run special reports; workers compensation insurance processing; maintain Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting; distribution/management of annual clubs/stipends; creating purchase orders; out-of-district contracts, textbook requests; assists with tax collection, including phone inquiries; review and process BOCES bills; intake and mobile check depositing; coordinate insurance certificates for vendors and contractors; and other duties as needed. Excellent oral and written communication skills, and excellent organizational skills are essential. Knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Word preferred. Prior finance experience preferred.Effective: December 2025/January 2026 - 12-month position. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.Salary is as per the CSEA collective bargaining agreement: $48,157 - $78,552.Excellent health, dental, vision, and life insurance options.
