~ Community Opportunity Resilience Empowerment ~Special Education Teacher - High SchoolProbationary Appointment - Available: January 2025The Putnam Valley Central School District has an anticipated vacancy for a special education teacher to provide special education instruction to students with disabilities in grades 9-12 in co-taught and/or 12:1:1/15:1:1 settings. Additional responsibilities include IEP preparation, participation at CSE meetings, testing as needed, and other duties as required. Knowledge of the New York State Learning Standards, effective classroom management techniques, strong instructional skills, and effective teaching strategies are necessary. Experience providing mathematics instruction grades 9-12 is preferred.Qualifications: Appropriate NYS Students with Disabilities certification for grades 9-12 is required. Salary:Salary is as per the PVFT collective bargaining agreement. Salary Range is:Bachelor’s Degree: minimum $60,568, midpoint $76,221, maximum $101,337Master’s Degree: minimum $69,047, midpoint $97,797, maximum $129,886Benefits:Excellent health, dental, vision, and life insurance options.
