~ Community Opportunity Resilience Empowerment ~Anticipated PositionSpecial Education Math TeacherSeptember 1, 2024The Putnam Valley Central School District has an anticipated vacancy for a special education math teacher to provide instructions to students with disabilities in grades 9 through 12. This probationary appointment is anticipated for September 1, 2024.Responsibilities: Providing special education mathematics instruction to students with disabilities in grades 9-12 in co-taught and/or 12:1:1/15:1:1 settings. Additional responsibilities include IEP preparation, participation at CSE meetings, testing as needed, and other duties as required. Knowledge of the New York State Learning Standards, effective classroom management techniques, strong instructional skills, and effective teaching strategies are necessary. Appropriate NYS certifications in Special Education and Math 7-12 is needed.Salary is as per the PVFT collective bargaining agreement. Salary Range is:Bachelors Degree: minimum $60,568, midpoint $76,221, maximum $101,337Masters Degree: minimum $69,047, midpoint $97,797, maximum$129,886Excellent health, dental, vision, and life insurance options.
