Qualifications: Minimum (4) years Groundskeeper Supervisor experience. Must meet Suffolk County Civil Service regulations.Location: Port Jefferson UFSDHours: Monday - Friday 6:30AM to 2:30 PM - some weekendsSalary: $69,765 annuallySupervises a small group of employees caring for and improving of school district grounds.Watering and seeding fields, mowing grass and leaf removal on fields, pruning bushes and trees. Paintingand cultivating of flowers and plants around buildings walkways.Responsible for instructing employees with processes and procedures regarding groundskeeping work.Maintenance of grounds equipment, plantings, mulching, fertilizing. and insecticide applications. Assists incaring for flower beds and seasonal plantings around school buildings.Maintains groundskeeping inventory. Requisitions for parts and supply when needed. Removessnow and ice from driveways and walkways.
