ANTICIPATED OPENINGSpecial Education Teacher – Special Class (12:1+1)–Leave ReplacementThe Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic NYS certified Special Education Teacher to serve as a leave replacement. The role involves supporting elementary school students with IEPs, collaborating with instructional staff, and maintaining compliance with all special education requirements during the leave period.Responsibilities: - Deliver individualized and small group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals- Work collaboratively with general education teachers to support inclusion and accommodations- Manage IEP documentation and progress monitoring- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families and service providers- Support a positive and inclusive learning environment for all studentsQualifications: - Valid NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities 1-6 or Students with Disabilities All Grades- Experience teaching elementary school students preferred- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with colleaguesLocation: Stratford Road Elementary SchoolEffective Dates: Commencing on or about February 11, 2026 and continuing through approximately March 18, 2026 Salary: As per contractDeadline: Friday, January 30, 2026
