ANTICIPATED OPENINGSpecial Education Teacher (Special Class 12:1:1) –Leave ReplacementThe Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic NYS certified Special Education Teacher to serve as a leave replacement. The role involves supporting elementary school students with IEPs, collaborating with instructional staff, and maintaining compliance with all special education requirements during the leave period. Responsibilities: - Deliver individualized and small group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals- Work collaboratively with general education teachers to support inclusion and accommodations- Manage IEP documentation and progress monitoring- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families and service providers- Support a positive and inclusive learning environment for all studentsQualifications: - Valid NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities 1-6 or Students with Disabilities All Grades- Experience teaching elementary school students preferred- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with colleaguesLocation: Stratford Road Elementary SchoolEffective Dates: April 2026 until May 2026 (6-8 Week Assignment)Salary: As per contractDeadline to apply: Thursday, January 29, 2026
