ANTICIPATED OPENINGSpecial Education Teacher – Probationary The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic NYS certified Probationary Special Education Teacher. The role involves supporting middle school students with IEPs, collaborating with instructional staff and maintaining compliance with all special education requirements.Responsibilities: - Deliver individualized and small group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals- Work collaboratively with general education teachers to support inclusion and accommodations- Manage IEP documentation and progress monitoring- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families and service providers- Support a positive and inclusive learning environment for all studentsQualifications: - Valid NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities 1-6 or Students with Disabilities All Grades- Experience teaching middle school students preferred- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with colleaguesLocation: POB Middle SchoolEffective Date: January 5, 2026Salary: As per contractDeadline: Friday, November 14, 2025
