Title: Special Education Teacher (Leave Replacement)Dates: August 27, 2025 – January 2, 2026 Job Description:The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic NYS certified Special Education English Arts Teacher to serve as a leave replacement. The role involves supporting high school students with IEPs, collaborating with instructional staff, and maintaining compliance with all special education requirements during the leave period. Responsibilities: - Deliver individualized and small group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals - Work Collaboratively with general education teachers to support inclusion and accommodations- Manage IEP documentation and progress monitoring- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families and service providers - Support a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students Qualifications: - Valid NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities 7-12 or SWD All Grades- Valid NYS Certification in English Language Arts 7-12 or ELA – Special Class SOCE- Experience teaching high school students preferred- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with colleaguesLocation: POBJFK High School Salary: As per contract Deadline: Monday, August 18, 2025
