ANTICIPATED OPENINGSpecial Education Teacher –Leave ReplacementThe Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic NYS certified Special Education Teacher to serve as a leave replacement. The role involves supporting high school students with IEPs, collaborating with instructional staff, and maintaining compliance with all special education requirements during the leave period.Responsibilities: - Deliver individualized and small group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals- Work collaboratively with general education teachers to support inclusion and accommodations- Manage IEP documentation and progress monitoring- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families and service providers- Support a positive and inclusive learning environment for all studentsQualifications: - Valid NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities 7-12 or Students with Disabilities All Grades- Valid NYS Certification in Biology 7-12 or Biology Special Class SOCE- Experience teaching high school students preferred- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with colleaguesLocation: POB JFK High SchoolEffective Dates: November 2025 until December 19, 2025Salary: As per contractDeadline: Thursday, November 6, 2025
