ANTICIPATED OPENING FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEARSECONDARY MATH TEACHER - PART-TIME (.3)The Plainview-Old Bethpage Mathematics Department is seeking a highly dedicated and collaborative educator to join our team as a Part-Time Secondary Mathematics Teacher. This is a part-time position with the opportunity to inspire and engage students while fostering a positive, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment. We are looking for a dynamic teacher who is committed to student success, instructional excellence, and professional growth within our department.Position Details: .1 FTE Geometry Lab (meets every other day).2 FTE College Ready Math (meets daily)Responsibilities: - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the New York State Next Generation Mathematics Learning Standards.- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning for a diverse group of students.- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices.- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student growth.Key Qualifications: - Motivated and passionate about teaching mathematics.- Previous experience teaching high school mathematics preferred.- Strong understanding of secondary-level mathematics curriculum and instructional strategies.Requirements: - New York State teaching certification in Mathematics 7-12- Excellent communication and organizational skills.Deadline to Apply: Wednesday, September 3, 2025
